The Simplest Support is Each Other

This session will detail all aspects of supporting first year teachers through the eyes of a first year teacher. The support that first year teachers need most are relationships. Administrators can set up these relationships to foster the success of new teachers on their campus.
I will lead the group through the different relationships that allowed me to feel comfortable as a first year teacher. These include access to an instructional coach, a team of teachers at my grade level, time with students with no academic expectations in order to create relationships with them, and opportunities for professional development in which I could create relationships in the educational field.

Empowering Leadership Through the Student Behavior Matrix and Data Tracker: We go together like chang, chang, changitty, chang sha-bop!

Scene 1: Behavior is the cornerstone of any community, especially within a campus environment where diverse individuals converge. Developing a behavior matrix serves as a guiding framework to cultivate a positive and inclusive culture. This leadership session aims to empower campus leaders in collaboratively constructing a behavior matrix tailored to the unique needs and values of their campus community.

Scene 2: In today's educational landscape, effective leadership involves more than just managing resources and personnel; it requires a deep understanding of student needs and the ability to implement strategies that support their growth and development. One crucial aspect of this is behavior tracking, which can provide valuable insights into student behavior patterns, enabling educators to tailor interventions and support systems accordingly. This leadership session proposes to explore the development and implementation of a behavior data tracker for students, aiming to equip educational leaders with the tools and knowledge necessary to create a supportive and nurturing environment conducive to student success.
